Cloudy Day

Today is a cloudy day. No rain, just clouds. Mom says she wishes it would rain because the crops need it so badly. So yesterday, I like was telling you about the pool and while I was fooling around here with the computer I found these pictures. Here is a picture of a hooman pup in the pool. This was when it was actually up an din running order. The tree that fell, well you can't see it cuz its too dark in the background.

So like this was what our pool looked like in the beginning, then one day we came home from work and found this........We had a small spurt of rain that day but really no winds. Dad looked out the window and what the heck???!? The tree was down. So he had to go empty the pool. Mom didn't get home til later and this is what SHE saw. Dad had managed to move the pool away from the tree after he emptied the water. He had to empty the pool and try and move it a bit because the tree was in it and he was afraid it would get ruined.

These are all the leaves that dad cut off the tree that fell. There sure are alot of them. He poled them right next to where me and Mr. Whiskers play.

This is another picture that mom took that shows the play set. The tree fell on the slide. The play set had been over farther, where the pool is sitting, but dad moved it so we could put the pool there. If we wouldn't have put the pool up the tree would have fallen on the play set!

So today is a lazy day. Mom is at work at the shop, Jordan is playing with a friend, Kendra is doing what ever 13 year old girls do, and dad is cleaning the "cat" room. The "cat" room.....I love that room. That is where the cat sleeps and hides. Plus there is this box in there that has these turds in it......that if mom let me I would send to Miss Sunshade, but dad is constantly cleaning it out so I can't get it there. HUMPH! These hoomans really aren't fun sometimes! O-k so I am getting off the subject. Well, friends, I best get going before someone finds out that I am on the puter unsupervised!!!!

SASSY

I'm finally back and look what my mom puts for the title of my post. "SASSY". I want all of you to know that I am NOT sassy! My mom is MEAN!!! She hasn't let me post FOREVER! First, she was on vacation, and my idea of a vacation is my hoomans being at home WITH ME. BUT NO!! They were running all over the place and me and Mr. Whiskers had to stay home.

We did have a couple fires in our fire pit though- that was fun. Here is a picture of ME guarding our driveway. Its hard work!
The weather has been REALLY hot. Mom keeps the aireconditioner on most of the time cuz otherwise I get overheated.
We did spend a great deal of time outdoors and here I am guarding MY backyard. Dad was busy putting up swimming pool for the hooman pups and I was supervising. The pups didn't get to enjoy it much though- a couple days later a tree fell over in our backyard and guess where it landed?
Right in the pool! That wasn't the only problem my mom and dad had with that pool. Mom would rather I not go into the details as it ticks her off. She said that the tree falling in the pool confirmed her suspicions that OUR family was NOT meant to have a POOL! So, sadly much to the dismay of Kendra and Jordan, Dad put the pool away. Good thing too cuz after dad got that tree cleaned up another part of it fell and it would have been on the pool again!

Thanks for stopping by to visit me. Hopefully it won't be so long now in between posts. Mom has been having some issues with her lap top and not being able to access the Internet. Hopefully it will be fixed soon. Otherwise I have to go with her to the shop and update my blog and dogs aren't allowed in the shopping complex she is in. Do you know how hard it is to sneak a 61 pound dog into a mall?

Quiet *HOT* Monday

It's Monday and not much is going on around here......Mom stayed home from work with the boy hooman pup because he isn't feeling very well. Let's just leave it at that. Don't want to get into the gory details of what HIS stomach did this morning. Kind of like when we dogs eat grass! It is SO hot here (above 90 degrees) that mom put on the aireconditioner and won't let us go out only to do our business. It is nice in the house and I don't pant so much in the cool aire. Otherwise I am drinking tons of water, slopping on the floor, which causes mom to slip and fall. So we are just hanging out inside today!

So, since Mom was home, I decided I should take over the kitchen. The kitchen is my favoritest place in the entire house! You all know why.......FOOD! She never shares with ME so I have to counter surf and see what I can find. She gets mad at me when I get up on the counters. I just don't understand why. She should just leave all that good food and junk down on the floor so I could get it. It would be ALOT easier that way!
Here I am on duty protecting the fridge. She wanted to get into the fridge but I said no way! I can't be in the fridge you can't be in the fridge. PLUS I heard she's on a diet and that means she isn't supposed to be in the fridge if she's on a diet, right? I was doing MY civic duty by keeping her out of that fridge!Here is a picture of me guarding the enterance to the kitchen. I wasn't letting anyone near ANY food.

So that was my day. Just hanging out with mom and Kendra. Poor Jordan. His belly is upset and he is really quiet. He doesn't even want to play with me. I hope tomorrow is a better day for him!

Mail Call!

LOOK what we got in the mail today.......Jordan did get a smile on his face when he saw that we got a package from Miss Sunshade the SUPERDALE! Nothing in it for me, though. Just the hoomans. Jordan got this cool necklace. It says "courage" Isn't that neat? Thanks to Miss Sunshade, her mum Elaine and Jaffa and Qila for the gift!

This is what Kendra got from Elaine and Miss Sunshade and the aire kids. She put it on the minute she opened the package. Isn't that just the cootest shirt? Her necklace says "virtue" She LOVES it and THANKS!

Not much has been happening around here. We have been busy going to soccer games. I LUV soccer. Here is a picture of me, watching the boy hooman pup (Jordan) play soccer. They won 6-2! It was a great game! It was really hot out and there was no shade. Mom had dad buy me a water bottle because I was SO thirsty. After the game, we went to the Dairy Queen, and I got my own ice cream. It was the first time I ever had ice cream and it was SO good! I had an ice cream beard. Mom didn't take any pictures of me because she was too busy getting everyone their treats by the time she sat down, I was already DONE! Thanks for stopping by!! TGIF and No dogs allowed!!

Hi Everypup! So, Friday started out like any other day. I was glad it was Friday because that means my hoomans will be home a couple days and I don't have to sit in Jail with Mr. Whiskers. Mom and Dad and the hooman pups were gone for awhile and I will share in a little while where they went, but first I have to say, I'M MOVING TO VANCOUVER to be with my Aire sister Miss Sunshade! Vancouver lets dogs go EVERYWHERE! (O-K I am NOT REALLY moving there- I just think we should since they let dogs go everywher in Vancouver). Here is MINNESOTA dogs aren't allowed ANYWHERE! Last night, mom packed up the car, and put me and the hooman pups in it. We were going on a very "special" walk. At least that is what mom said. We went to one of the local high schools where we saw a sign like this:
It may have well said "NO DOGS ALLOWED" cuz when we got there, that's what they told mom. I was being a very good Airegirl, and people LOVED me, but some army dude came up to mom and said "Didn't you hear the announcement? No DOGS allowed!" Mom and me and the hooman pups were looking for MY aunt LAURIE! Mom told me we do this walk every year around this time. But NO I couldn't do the walk, because "NO DOGS WERE ALLOWED"! Mom found MY aunt LAURIE and I got mad. MY AUNT took the hooman pups and left me with MOM. Mom said Lillie you are a good girl, lets go for a walk. So we walked and walked and walked. Then, mom took me to the car, and I had to stay there! Mom said she had to go get the hooman pups.

The hooman pups were walking around a track. There were lots of bags on the track just like this one. This one is for MY aunt LAURIE! She is a cancer survivor. I don't know what can sur is, but mom said we are lucky because MY aunt LAURIE is a survivor. Can sur surviving is good (that's what mom said). Mom told me that MY aunt LAURIE has survived a brain tumor for 12 years! That is almost as old as Kendra is!

Since no DOGS were allowed, I couldn't go along the track or be anywhere near any of the fun stuff. I didn't have to wait too long in the Lilliemobile for mom to come back with the hooman pups. She told me she was really sorry and couldn't believe they wouldn't let DOGS in. Especially WELL BEHAVED ones (ahem- like ME). I told Mom I'm moving to Vancouver! That is it! I am going to move in with Miss Sunshade because she goes everywhere and noone says "NO DOGS ALLOWED!" Before the Relay for life, my family had left me at home, alone to go watch Kendra.

She is in her Middle School's marching band, and because of that, she has been home with me ALL WEEK LONG! She has had practice almost every day. So she stays home with me until its time to practice, then she comes back. I don't get lonely at all. Kendra is in the color guard. She doesn't play a musical instrument. She twirls a flag and she's the best flag twirler I know (o-k, maybe she's the only flag twirler I know).

This was their first performance. They had a special "family night" which I might add DID NOT include ME (and I am part of the family). The kids were getting ready for their first parade on Saturday.

SOCCER

I really love soccer. The reason I love soccer is because both hooman pups play it, and this is one place that DOGS ARE ALLOWED!! So I have been practicing and Kendra has made me the o-fish-all un-o-fish-all mascot of her team. And look what she did......

You can't see it, but she took one of her REALLY old jerseys and now it is mine. It has HER number (and this year her number is 7 too) and put MY name L. Valentine on the back. Isn't that cool? So now I can wear my own jersey to the games.

This isn't a very good picture, because I wasn't being very cooperative, but here is a picture of me in MY jersey! Mom promises she will take some good ones of me and I um didn't promise I'd be good but I'll try.

SO.......that's MY Friday. It was pretty good, except for the NO DOGS ALLOWED part. I just don't get it- why are we not allowed when we are so well behaved, and ahem....CUTE?

A trip down memory lane.......

Mom decided to take a trip. This was no ordinary trip, either. She didn't GO anywhere! How weird is that? She got all emotional and funny on me. She sat there at the computer oohing and aahing over all these photos. Can you guess who they were of?

That's right....they were of ME!!! Some of them were of Daisie, and that made her very sad. You know, I really miss my Daisie. She was the bestest aire sister ever. Anyhow, mom found this picture of me at 7 weeks (above). Wasn't I just cute? (mom: yes, and small. You aren't small anymore!)

And I was such a good pup. I never got into ANY trouble, as you can see by these pictures. In this picture I am NOT chewing on Jordan's backpack. And in this picture I am NOT trying to get that nummy pizza. (mom: not here you aren't, but NOW we can't leave ANYTHING on the counter or in the sink because you think if its on the counter or in the sink its YOURS!!)

Here's a picture of me sleeping. I think I was probably dreaming about my bestest boyfriend Tanner in Arizona. I don't think he luvs me anymore though. I thinks he has a newer girly friend that is closer to him. You know what long distance relationships can do to you.

This is my favoritest place ever. It still is. I like to sit on my dad's lap. He never cared when I was up on him when I was little.....Now I am big and he tells me in his bestest dad voice "DOWN LILLIE". I tell him I don't want to be down dad! I LOVE you!

Remember that gluing incident? That was like the worst time of my life. My ears were glued right to my head. Like what kind of mom did I have GLUING my ears to my HEAD?? What was that woman thinking??

Here is a picture of our lovely Daisie. If it weren't for her, and Miss Sunshade, and her Mum Elaine, I wouldn't know any of you OR would I have this awesome blog!!! Not only that, but I wouldn't live with this AWESOME family I do cuz mom wouldn't have found out what great joy it is in owning an Airedale and then who knows WHO I'd be living with, and then I wouldn't get to sleep inside the house or drink out of the hooman's cups, or eat their food when they aren't looking. OR (mom:o-k Lillie, I think they get the point. Its great that we have you!!)

Well, that's all I have for today. Mom's getting all sappy on me and the tears are welling up in her eyes and she can hardly see the keyboard anymore. She isn't listening to me and is having a hard time with my dictation. So I will go for now, and until next time...........................

I've been tagged by Maggie the bootiful!

My airefriend, Maggie the bootiful tagged me! She says I need to tell you eight things about me that you don't already know. But first I have to share this GREAT picture of my big brother, Mr. Whiskers. Its a great picture. It shows his true personality and he is smiling. He doesn't like to have his picture taken but this time he didn't know because we were outside and there was no flash!! He was happy because we were at our grandma's house out in the country and he can run loose and chase birds and squirrels! We can't run loose at our house. He gets in too much trouble protecting the hooman pups. Mom and dad have to tie him up at home.

The first thing I need to tell you that you don't yet know, is that I no longer look like this.........I got my hair cut!

The SECOND thing you don't know about me is that I sleep on the floor in my mom's room, and not up on the bed. I used to sleep in bed with her, but now I'd rather sleep on the floor. Whiskers shares the bed with my mom and dad. When I was a tiny pup I slept with them but I am a big girl (and very independent, I might add) so I don't need their bed.

Number three: I hate to ride in the car. Mom takes me for short rides but I really don't like it. I want to sit on mom's lap while she is driving and mom won't let me. I can't understand WHY I can't sit on her lap when she is driving the airedale taxi.

Four........I love to chew on plastic drinking cups. But first I have to empty them. Either by tipping them over and drinking it or just drinking out of it and then taking it.

Five: I don't bark very much. My big brother Mr. Whiskers barks alot. Mom is really glad that I am pretty quiet. She likes the fact that I really only bark to go outside to go potty.

Six: I love to get into things I am not supposed to. Things like the fridge when the hoomans open it, or taking the lid off of the wooden garbage can and getting into the garbage and making a mess. Mr. Whiskers can't even do that, and I tell you I do good work. Garbage work that is.

Seven: I love brocolli and carrots- raw of course. But I'm not picky. I eat most people food. I like to steal people food from people!

AND NUMBER Eight........................(drum roll please!)

You all know that I LOVE Tanner Doofus, but before that I really had a crush on Mr. Joe Stains!! But then I found out how he doesn't like girls and then I had a dream about Tanner, and I just love Tanner, but you guys know that. AND I also have a secret crush on Jaffa. He's sooooo cute! I guess I can say that since I think Tanner has a new girl friend named Teka and I don't think he luvs me anymore and that makes me so sad cuz I really love that Tanner Doofus.So there you have it......EIGHT things you didn't know about me but now you do! Now I am going to tag Jaffadale, Tanner and Joe Stains. Thanks for checking on me and sorry that I haven't blogged lately! I will try to post more often, and if mom won't let me I will bite her in the butt!
